Papierfabrik Lunzenau files for insolvency

<spanTimes New Roman"" lang="EN-GB">There were different options on the table for the paper company, but it was too early for more price statements on the future of the company, according to the insolvency administrator.

German speciality paperboard manufacturer Lunzenauer Papier- und Pappenfabrik applied for the opening of preliminary insolvency proceedings. The petition was filed with the Chemnitz Local Court on 16 August.

The company runs one mill in Lunzenau north of Chemnitz in the German federal state of Saxony. Lunzenau paper and board mill produces roofing felt base as well as dyed and coated paperboard grades with an annual output of some 6,000 t. Among other things, the specialty papers are used as roofing and floor construction materials in the building industry.
