Poor demand on Germany's LWC paper market

13 Jul 2011 −

At the beginning of the third quarter it appears that the lull in demand that had already manifested itself very early on this year in a number of sectors of the German paper market has now spread. Describing the current state of demand for LWC paper, manufacturers agree that too few enquiries are coming in. After many market players' LWC sales were reasonable to good in the first five months, there has been a marked downturn since June, especially since catalogue business has ended. Under these circumstances a hard time is being had with the announced price increases.
