Following the announcement of a €40-50/t hike for semi-chemical fluting as of 1 September, a few suppliers of brown kraftliner and white-top kraftliner have also started demanding higher prices.
Price hikes of around €20-30€/t are reportedly under negotiation for unbleached kraftliner and white-top kraftliner in September. However, there are no indications of a deadline for the implementation of price hikes nor have all market players been informed.
At the end of August, most EUWID respondents noted sideward movement of prices and an unclear outlook for the coming weeks. A few sources noticed a slight dent in brown kraftliner prices in recent weeks.
