Prinzhorn group plans to double in size by 2030

Hamburger Containerboard's new paper mill in Turkey is said to be an important step towards achieving the group's ambitious goal.

Austria's family owned and managed Prinzhorn group has unveiled an ambitious goal for the next 13 years. In a press release on 18 January, CEO Cord Prinzhorn stated that Prinzhorn group planned to double in size by 2030.

The group, which is active in the fields of secondary raw materials collection and trading, containerboard production and corrugated products production, employs 6,600 people in 15 countries and has annual sales €1,4bn.

The installation of a 480,000 tpy fluting and testliner paper machine at Hamburger Containerboard's new greenfield site in Kütahya, Turkey, by 2020 is considered an important step towards the group's 2030 goal. The company announced that it has ordered the new 7.8 m wide containerboard machine from Valmet, but did not reveal the value of the purchase order.
