Nothing has been decided yet concerning Arjowiggins' three mills Greenfield, Le Bourray and Bessé-sur-Braye, but while waiting for a decision to be made on the future of the sites, the Greenfield mill has partly restarted operations.
Arjowiggins' Greenfield mill in France, which had been completely down for some time following the opening of receivership proceedings, is partly running again. But production was only running at very reduced capacity, a trade union spokesman as well as players on the market in France said. The site has a capacity of 150,000 tpy of deinked pulp.
The Le Bourray mill is reportedly still producing tissue while recycled graphic paper production is idle. According to the union spokesman, the Bessé-sur-Braye mill is also only producing limited volumes to work off the last orders.
News on a potential sale of the mills will be available in early March, when takeover offers will be presented to the commercial court of Nanterre.
