Progroup starts up "the world's most efficient and powerful" corrugated sheet plant in Ellesmere Port, UK.

Progroup officially started up its corrugated sheet plant in Ellesmere Port, UK, on 29 January 2019. According to Progroup, the plant with an annual capacity of up to 235,000 tonnes of corrugated sheets is the most efficient and powerful of its kind in the world. "With the new plant in Ellesmere Port, we have more than competitive production with exemplary and efficient processes", said Jürgen Heindl, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Progroup. "We are confident that the UK will remain an important market within Europe in the future," emphasised Mr Heindl.

The new plant replaces the existing plant in Ellesmere Port, which was once operated at the company's Offenbach site in Germany. It was transferred to the UK and started operation in January 2008.
