Progroup to boost capacity at Stryków corrugated board plant in Poland

Progroup plans to expand its Stryków corrugated board site at a cost of €72m to strengthen its position in the market in Central and Eastern Europe.

Paper and packaging producer Progroup will invest €72m to build a new corrugated sheetfeeder plant at the existing corrugated facility site in Stryków, Poland.

According to Progroup, the new corrugated board line has an installed capacity of 200,00 tpy and will produce virtually all standard corrugated sheet grades . The corrugator has a working width of 3,35 m and will run a speeds of 400 m/min.

Originally scheduled to come up in the first half of 2020, the new facility will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of the year 2022.

In addition to the new corrugated board plant, the Stryków site will also get a new combined heat and power plant as well as a fully-automated high-bay warehouse offering over 14,000 storage plaaces.

"With its production capacity of 825 million m² per annum, Stryków will be one of the biggest corrugated board production sites anywhere in the world," Progroup said.
