Progroup to halt PM 3 for repair works at stock preparation area

PM 3 at Progroup's Sandersdorf-Brehna mill will interrupt production at the beginning of June.

German corrugated packaging and containerboard producer Progroup has announced to shut down production at the PM 3 in Sandersdorf-Brehna due to urgently needed repair works at the stock preparation area. Production will be idled for five to seven days from 10 June 2021, the company announced, adding that this will lead to a production loss of around 10,000 t in June.

The machine was commissioned in August 2020 and reached the milestone of 50,000 t produced in January 2021. It has a capacity to produce up to 750,000 tpy of recycled corrugated case material at full capacity.
