Progroup to start up PM 3 on schedule
Progroup will start up the new paper machine in Sandersdorf-Brehna at the end of August.
The company is thus adhering to the schedule announced at the topping-out ceremony last year. The total investment in the paper mill amounts to €465m.
The new PM will have a design capacity of 750,000 tpy of containerboard. The 9.20 m wide machine will focus on the production of corrugating medium and testliner in base weights ranging from 80 g to 150 g/m².
With the new machine, Progroup increases its total containerboard production capacity from 1.1 million t to around 1.85 million tpy.
