As exports to Asia are decreasing and the economy is slowing, experts talking to EUWID said they expected more price cuts for recovered paper in Germany in June.

Market insiders in Germany believe that more price cuts for recovered paper will be seen in June. According to some respondents a significant surplus supply of material, especially supermarket paper and board (1.04), was forming due to a lack of export opportunities and material flowing in from other European countries.

Exports to Asia were reportedly dropping considerably in June. India was saturated and preferred to source material from the US. Uncertainty about the introduction of strict quality requirements comparable to those introduced in China are hampering exports to Indonesia.
