RGE to increase capacity at Brazilian pulp plant by 1.25 million t

Asian Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) has officially started the expansion of its Brazilian pulp plant in Lençóis Paulista in the federal state of São Paulo.

The plant's capacity is to be raised by 1.25 million t of bleached eucalyptus pulp, from currently 250,000 tpy to a total of 1.5 million tpy.

In August 2018, RGE acquired Lwarcel Celulose, which was doing business under its former name until recently. Together with Bahia Specialty Cellulose (BSC), a Brazilian dissolving pulp producer also operated by RGE, the two companies now form the Bracell pulp division.
