Sappi Europe announced its plans to hike prices for woodfree coated and uncoated papers from 1 October 2018.
Many suppliers of fine papers have already informed their European customers that they were eyeing further price increases. Sappi now is the first to come forward with more concrete plans.
The company announced that due to continued cost increases and solid demand, it was forced to pass on this cost inflation by increasing its CWF and UWF prices in sheets and reels by 6-8% effective on deliveries from 1 October 2018 for all European and overseas markets.
