Smurfit Kappa Group decides to close down Nanterre plant

|

Smurfit Kappa Group has taken the decision to permanently close down its French Nanterre plant. The company had already announced in March that it was contemplating the move. A spokesman for Smurfit Kappa said the procedure for dismissing the total of 106 employees was already underway and would last until the end of this year. It is still unclear what is to become of the Nanterre plant after the closure. Smurfit Kappa used to produce recycled fluting with an annual capacity of approximately 160,000 t in Nanterre.
