Stora Enso considers pulp and board expansion project at Skoghall mill
The group estimates the capital expenditure for the Skoghall expansion project at €800-850m.
Stora Enso will commence a feasibility study and environmental permit application for the expansion of Skoghall pulp and board mill in Sweden. The group plans to increase pulp production capacity to 780,000 tpy, including 220,000 tpy of market pulp. Board capacity would increase by 120,000 tpy to over 1 million tpy.
The feasibility study is expected to be completed by the end of next year with production starting not before Q4 2023, according to Stora Enso.
