Stora Enso shuts down paper production at Kvarnsveden and Veitsiluoto mills

No more fine and publication paper is produced at the Veitsiluoto and Kvarnsveden mills. All five paper machines went out of production by the end of Q3.

Stora Enso has closed paper production at the Veitsiluoto and Kvarnsveden mills according to plan.

In Kvarnsveden, production on the PM 10 was definitely stopped on 29 September, followed by the PM 12 one day later.

Two out of three paper machines at the Veitsiluoto mill, PM 5 and PM 2, as well as sheeting operations were stopped for good in mid-August, according to Stora Enso. Production on PM 3 was continued until 29 September, the company explained.
