The Navigator Company to increase tissue prices

Tissue might soon become more expensive
05 Jan 2022 −

The tissue industry is struggling with high input costs. The Navigator Company has therefore announced a surcharge for its tissue paper products.

Portuguese company The Navigator Company plans to increase tissue prices by 15 per cent from 15 January. The company explains that the hike is necessary to offset the "significant and unexpected" rise in input costs such as those for energy, natural gas, pulp, chemical products, and logistics.

It is not excluded that tissue prices might rise even further in the future. "The continuity and amount [of the price increase] will be regularly reviewed based on the evolving market conditions," said the company.

According to Navigator, this is an exceptional measure which is imperative to support the long-term sustainability of its business model.
