UK Recycling Association: "Keep up recycling collections from households"

Collection volumes in the UK have dropped significantly. This is not only due to the closure of many businesses, shops and restaurants, but also the fact that some local councils have already suspended recycling collections.

The British Recycling Association has sent a letter to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs asking it to ensure that recycling collections from households are maintained.

Furthermore, stakeholders in the recycling industry, among them The Recycling Association, Larac, Wrap and companies like Biffa, Veolia and Viridor have published a joint statement to keep recycling and waste management services operating as normal.
