Price erosion continues to be seen on the British market for uncoated fine paper in April.

The British woodfree uncoated paper market has been experiencing downward rather than upward pressure for some time now. Manufacturers no longer have the argument of rising pulp costs on their side to help them to negotiate additional price hikes.

Quite a few prices had already been capped in the first quarter. Some sources state that the last price increase had been erased by this erosion. Nonetheless, a number of market players told EUWID that prices were unchanged between March and April.
