Valmet to take over PMP group

PMP is focusing on small and medium sized machines and projects, and is said to complement Valmet's business.

Valmet will acquire Poland's tissue, paper and board machinery and service provider PMP group. A corresponding agreement was signed today, and the completion of the transaction is expected on 1 October at the ealiest, according to Valmet.

PMP employs 650 people in Poland, Italy, China nd the US, and had sales of approximately €70m in 2019. Valmet put the enterprise value of the deal at €64m, "plus a conditional and capperd earn-out component."
