Vinda's tissue capacities exceed one-million t mark

Vinda has commissioned three new machines in China, increasing its tissue capacities by 90,000 tpy. With the move, overall capacities climb to more than one million tpy.

Chinese tissue and sanitary products manufacturer Vinda International Holdings has now reached tissue capacities of more than one million tpy with the start-up of new machines. Machine engineering company Toscotec reported that the company had put its new TM 9 and TM 10 into operation at the Sanjiang mill in Guangdong province in China. Vinda also commissioned its new TM 4 at the Shandong mill in June.

According to Toscotec, Vinda now operates a total of ten tissue machines at the Sanjiang mill, which it all put into operation in the last four years. The Shandong site has four tissue machines. According to earlier reports, the total capacity of the three new machines amounts to 90,000 tpy of tissue.

Vinda is a manufacturer of sanitary products such as paper towels and handkerchiefs, incontinence products, feminine care products as well as baby diapers. The company operates a total of 14 production sites, of which ten are located in China, two in Malaysia, and one each in Taiwan and Australia. SCA is the majority shareholder of the company, holding a stake of 51.4%.
