20 Sep 2019 −

The acquisition of BTG is meant to expand Voith product portfolio and strengthen its position as one-stop shop for the pulp and paper industry.

Germany's technology supplier Voith has signed an agreement with Spectris plc to acquire BTG, a multinational provider of integrated, specialized process solutions for the pulp and paper industry. The transaction is expected to close late in the fourth quarter of 2019. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

According to Voith, BTG offers a portfolio of optimized and customized solutions for a range of applications, mainly in the areas of packaging, graphic papers and tissue, such as size presses, coating blades or proces control sensors and instruments. In addition, BTG offers products and solutions in the areas of data analytics, automation and software.
