After a great deal of back and forth, white-top kraftliner manufacturers have secured higher prices for shipments in Italy from October or November. However, the increases were smaller than originally announced.

White-top kraftliner manufacturers have ultimately secured partial success in implementing the price increase slated for the summer. Buyers and suppliers agreed to hike prices from October or, in rare cases, from November at the latest.

Suppliers' persistence had finally paid off, even though the mark-up was much smaller than originally sought, an insider said. All told, suppliers were mentioning healthy demand for white-top kraftliner as the fourth quarter began.
