UPM has started ramping up production at the Finnish mills that were affected by the strikes in the logistics sector.

A spokesperson gave more details on the ramp-up plan.

The paper machines at UPM Rauma are scheduled to start on 8 April, followed by UPM Jämsänkoski's PM 6 on 9 April and PMs 3 and 4 on 10 April.

Ramping-up of pulp production at the Kymi plant will begin on 6 April and is expected to take a few days, after which paper production at UPM Kymi will also be restarted.

Paper production at UPM Kaukas was already resumed at the start of this week, with pulp production's restart imminent. This is also expected to take a few days.

The other UPM mills were able to continue operation during the strike, the spokesperson said.
