SCA will consolidate Wausau Paper as of 21 January.
Sweden's tissue, hygiene and forest products company SCA (Svenska Celulosa Aktiebolaget) has completed the announced acquisition of Wausau Paper for a total cash consideration of $513m. SCA will consolidate Wausau Paper as of 21 January.
According to SCA, Wausau Paper is a leading company on the Away-From-Home tissue market in North America. The acquisition of Wausau Paper is expanding SCA's production capacities and its position in North America, the company said.
The transaction was announced in October last year. Yesterday, the shareholders of Wausau Paper have given the green light for the acquisition of the company by SCA.
