Toscotec to supply eight tissue machines to Vinda

Toscotec will supply eight tissue machines to the Chinese household paper products manufacturer Vinda Group. Vinda plans to add a total of 150,000 tpy in tissue capacity in 2012 to meet growing demand in China.

Italian machine engineering company Toscotec has been awarded a contract by the Chinese Vinda Group to supply and install eight crescent former tissue machines. According to Toscotec, the tissue machines will become operational between the third quarter this year and the first half of the next year. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Vinda plans to add 150,000 tpy in tissue capacity in 2012 to satisfy growing demand for household paper and personal care products in China. In 2011, Vinda has already installed 100,000 tpy in new capacity, boosting its total production capacity to 470,000 tpy, the company stated in the annual report for 2011.

The tissue machines supplied to Vinda will run at the maximum speed of 1,300 m/min and have a net trim width of 2,700 mm, Toscotec said. Each of the eight tissue machines from Italy is designed for a production capacity of 20,000 tpy, explained Vinda.
