Bryan Crennell new Group Managing Director of Boxway Packaging

British Boxway Packaging Group has announced the appointment of Bryan Crennell to the newly created position of Group Managing Director.

With more than thirty years’ senior management experience, Mr Crennell has worked in leading positions in national and international organisations, most recently in the print and packaging industry with Elanders and Harrison Packaging, writes Boxway Group.

Boxway Packaging was formed in the summer 2021 when the group acquired three packaging sites from Saica Pack. The Telford plant was closed in September 2022, but investments in the other two plants in Peterlee and Exeter continued.

Mr Crennell comments: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Boxway Packaging Group at this tremendously exciting period in the company’s development. I am very much looking forward to leading, supporting and driving the business in this next phase following further very recent and wise investment to improve production capabilities at both the Peterlee and Exeter sites. With a talented and highly experienced work force across key areas of the business alongside some exceptionally loyal customers, we are extremely well-placed to grow significantly and sustainably over the coming years.”

Mr. Woollard continues: "This investment programme, since its commencement in 2021, has seen the comprehensive development of our infrastructure, including Finance, IT, HR and Design, the widening of the company’s capability and increasing its capacity. We have developed of a new supplier network, enhanced our customer relationships and increased our portfolio of high-quality, design-led products and services for businesses across the UK. Bryan brings a wealth of experience in supplying the food, beverage, household & healthcare markets and has a strong skill set with an excellent reputation for leadership. I am very much looking forward to working with Bryan to achieve the challenging goals we have set.”

Together with Mr Woollard and Nick Forrest, Group Finance Director, Mr Crennell will form a new Board of Directors.
