Hamburger Containerboard announces 150 €/t price hike for RCCM

|

The price hike is urgently needed in order to maintain regular operations at the mills and secure paper supplies to its customers, says Hamburger Containerboard.

Austria's recycled corrugated case material (RCCM) producer Hamburger Containerboard, member of the family-owned Prinzhorn group, is set to increase the selling prices for RCCM by 150 €/t as of 1 April 2022. According to the company, the price hike is motivated by soaring costs, energy in particular.

But it is not only the cost for energy that makes this latest price hike necessary.  There was also a massive cost increase for logistics, starches, recovered paper and various auxiliary materials, the company explained.
