Lecta idles fine paper machine in Condat

Lecta will reduce its coated woodfree paper capacities and take PM 4 at the Condat mill out of the market.

After months of irregular production, the fine paper machine PM 4 at Lecta's Condat mill in France will be shut down. The Spanish company is reacting to the strong decline in the graphic paper market and now wants to focus on specialty paper production at the site.

The closure of PM 4 might not come as a complete surprise for employees as the Condat mill was facing problems due to weak fine paper demand for some time now....
