Metsä Group eyes commercial production of textile fibres

Metsä Group’s subsidiary Metsä Spring will launch a pre-study for the first commercial mill producing the company’s Kuura textile fibre. If realised, the mill would be constructed next to Metsä Group’s pulp mills in either Äänekoski or Kemi and feature a production capacity of 100,000 t, Metsä Group said.
