Mayr-Melnhof (MM) has restarted production at its Kolicevo mill in Slovenia after finalising upgrade measures.
Mayr-Melnhof (MM) has successfully completed the rebuild of the cartonboard machine KM 3 at its Slovenian mill MM Kolicevo. Cartonboard production has been up and running since 31 October, an MM spokesperson told EUWID.
Production at the machine was discontinued at the end of August in order to upgrade the machine's dryer section and the rewinder, among other things.
As a result of the upgrade measures, the machine's capacity has increased slightly from the previous 225,000 tpy, the spokesperson said without giving further details.
Ramping-up the machine's production is currently running according to plan.
At the Kolicevo mill, Mayr-Melnhof operates a swing machine which produces recycled and primary fibre cartonboard as well as liner in basis weights of 180-450 gsm.
