Sappi Europe announces another price increase for fine papers

Sappi Europe has restarted price negotiations for fine papers, the company announced.

The company's declared goal is to achieve the target amount of a minimum of 10 per cent as of 1 April at the latest.

Prices for coated and uncoated fine papers have been hiked in January and February, albeit not to the amount necessary to ensure economically viable business, Sappi stated. Costs, especially for pulp and transport, have continued to soar and are expected to escalate in the coming months.
