Brazil’s pulp exports rise in first half of 2023

China and North America are main drivers, volumes to Europe lower

Pulp output from Brazilian producers was slightly lower year-on-year in the first half of 2023 by 1 per cent at roughly 12 million t. In contrast, exports, which account for a large part of the country’s pulp sales, increased both in terms of volume as well as value.
