Folding box manufacturers report having a tough time sourcing what they need and fear that they will not be able to run all shifts in 2022 owing to a lack of cartonboard. For their part, cartonboard manufacturers are urging their customers to make robust plans so that they can get supply chains back on track.
Against this background cartonboard prices in Germany climbed to record highs at the start of 2022.
