Demand for woodfree printing and writing papers on the French market has recovered a little after the sharp downturn during the global economic and financial crisis, but is still some distance from the levels observed prior to the crisis. Amid this backdrop, manufacturers are now again trying to implement price hikes announced a few weeks ago. Quite a few producers reported success in many instances and said that they would charge more for April deliveries.
