GD board producers supplying the Italian market are coming under mounting pressure to lower their prices to reflect current market conditions in Italy. More and more buyers are underscoring the ongoing imbalance between supply and demand in Italy. What is more, they are demanding that their suppliers take account of falling recovered paper prices when setting their prices for board. At the same time, more and more suppliers feel forced to keep up with their competitors and reduce their sales prices, too. A few suppliers had reportedly lowered their prices back in September and October, one GD manufacturer observed.
