Italian Lucart Group has completed the acquisition of Georgia Pacific's tissue and airlaid business in Italy. The transaction includes the two mills located at Castelnuovo Garfagnana and Aviglianao, as well as the Italian brands Tutto and Tenderly. Lucart says it will change the name of the former GP-entity into Airtissue. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Following the acquisition of GP Italia, Lucart Group operates 11 paper machines and 69 converting lines at seven mills in France and Italy. The total production capacity is said to be above 340,000 tpy of MG paper, airlaid and tissue.
