Metsä Tissue has revealed plans to upgrade its Krapkowice site in Southern Poland within the next three years. The company announced a €55m investment programme which includes the installation of two new paper machines at the site resulting in an increase of tissue capacity of 35,000 tpy. The mill currently produces 33,000 tpy of tissue paper and employs 240 people. The project also includes a smaller rebuild of PM6. The mill’s PM5 as well as PM11 in Konstancin-Jeziorna are to be closed.
