Myllykoski will cut 89 jobs at its Myllykoski Paper mill in Kouvola by the end of February. Another 50 jobs might be either axed or outsourced in the next months, but negotiations with employee representatives are said to be still ongoing. The cuts are part of a larger improvement program, which is intended to save €30m by the end of 2011. Myllykoski Paper runs three paper machines with a combined production capacity of up to 600,000 tpy of SC and coated mechanical paper.
