The significantly more difficult raw material procurement conditions had no negative impact on the performance of China's largest paper manufacturer Nine Dragons Paper in fiscal year 2018 as the company posted record earnings.
On the back of this strong position, the company is expanding its production base on a global scale. The company has purchased paper and pulp mills in the USA, but also plans large capacity expansions in China. Five new projects in China will increase the company’s linerboard production by more than 2.5 million tonnes by the end of 2019.
