In October, ordinary recovered paper grades saw another price drop on the French market.
There was a lot of recovered paper circulating on the market. Insiders said the oversupply of ordinary grades was driving the price concessions. Recovered paper merchants surveyed by EUWID had the impression that after the high collection volumes experienced in September, a lot of paper was collected in October too.
Moreover, no major volumes were flowing to the Asian export market, and a few paper mills had apparently halted production in recent weeks, respondents added.
