Users of the Merqbiz trading platform will soon be able to also plan their logistics requirements online. Merqbiz is entering into a cooperation with C.H. Robinson.
The digital recovered paper marketplace Merqbiz in the USA has closed a partnership with US logistics provider C.H. Robinson. This brings freight capacity to the platform and allows for transparency in the buying and selling process, Merqbiz says in a statement. Users have access to real-time prices and a supply chain network.
Merqbiz is an online platform for the buying and selling of recovered paper which was launched jointly by Voith and the Boston Consulting Group in April 2017. The platform allows buyers and sellers to connect directly and access timely information about the supply and demand of recovered paper, Merqbiz explains.
C.H. Robinson describes itself as one of the world's largest third-party logistics provider (3PL). The company has 280 offices as well as 14,000 employees and offers logistics services for 113,000 customers and 107,000 contract carriers and suppliers.
The logistics feature is now live and available on the Merqbiz platform.
