After a three-month shutdown for maintenance and rebuild production is back on track at Rottneros’ Vallvik pulp mill. Investments included replacing part of the evaporation plant and part of the recovery boiler. Total costs amounted to around SEK130m. Rottneros said that it eliminated production bottlenecks, thus increasing the mill’s capacity from 200,000 to 220,000 tpy. The Vallvik mill produces unbleached and bleached (ECF) softwood kraft pulp.
