Ahlstrom starts wallcovering substrate production in China

Ahlstrom has inaugurated a new wallcovering substrates production line at its Binzhou mill in China.

According to Ahlstrom, the cost of the investment in the line, which will provide 200 jobs in future, amounts to €40m. In addition to wallcovering products, the Binzhou mill also produces transportation filtration materials. Ahlstrom reports that the rapidly growing demand in China will make the country the world's biggest market for wallcoverings in two to three years.
