Coreboard prices in Italy stop increasing

Price development for coreboard
04 Jul 2018 −

Things have become more quiet on the Italian coreboard market in the second quarter. Demand is still strong but coreboard prices stayed the same amidst low recovered paper costs.

The upward trend in prices on Italy's coreboard market has ground to a halt. Market players report no further changes since February at the latest after prices had consistently edged higher last year and into the first quarter. Suppliers and buyers alike confirmed that coreboard prices had stayed the same on the Italian market in the second quarter.

Core manufacturers in Italy had a little time to catch their breath over the past few months. Towards the end of June, several core producers said that they had now passed on the majority of the hikes in coreboard prices to their customers or were in the process of making the final adjustments.
