French coreboard producer Cenpa divested

Five years ago, the former Sonoco coreboard plant in eastern France was acquired by Mutares. Now, the plant changes hands again.

German investment company Accursia Capital has acquired coreboard producer Cenpa based in Schweighouse-sur-Moder in eastern France. The seller of the plant is German private equity company Mutares. The parties did not provide details on the value of the transaction.

Cenpa, which was part of Sonoco Paper France until the middle of 2016, employs around 90 people. The company expects to post sales of €30m for the 2021 fiscal year. Annual output from the French site amounts to around 70,000 t of coreboard, EUWID was told.

Accursia Capital is a private equity company that invests in medium-sized industrial companies. The focus of investment activities is on companies with increased operative value-creation potential.
