Mondi Group to close UK flexible packaging plants

13 Jan 2020 −

Mondi Group plans to close its flexible packaging facilities Deeside and Nelson in the UK.

The company has announced a minimum 45-day consultation with employee representatives and expects to close the sites by the second half of 2020, a Mondi Group spokesperson said. The reason for the closure is a change in demand for the niche products produced. The proposal under consideration will impact around 200 employees.
