ND Paper starts up boiler at Old Town mill

28 Feb 2019 −

In the last week of February, the company successfully started up a new boiler at Old Town mill, which is now self-supplied with heat.

ND Paper is well on its way to starting up production at Old Town mill. While this is one task of many yet to come, the start-up of #5 boiler marks a very important milestone in the journey to restarting the facility, ND Paper wrote.

The boiler is the first piece of major operating equipment to run in the mill since its idling in October 2015. Further, the mill will now be self-supplied with heat; up to this point, Old Town mill relied on portable heat units.
