Official takeover offers for Arjowiggins sites in France

06 Feb 2019 −

There is possibly a future for Arjowiggins' Bessé-sur-Braye, Le Bourray and Greenfield paper mills in France. Potential buyers have shown serious interest in the sites.

Arjowiggins employees in France can breathe a sigh of relief. Takeover offers for the three French sites Bessé-sur-Braye, Le Bourray and Greenfield have been submitted, reports the French Ministry for Economy and Finance. The deadline for the presentation of such offers was last Monday.

According to the Ministry, the insolvency administrators will now examine the takeover offers, which will be presented to the commercial court of Nanterre on 27 February in the case of the Bessé-sur-Braye mill and on 6 March in the case of the other sites. The Arjowiggins subsidiaries running the mills are currently in receivership.

The names of the interested buyers will not yet be disclosed, but first hints are circulating on the market.

Keep up to date with the developments at Arjowiggins. Find the full article in EUWID Pulp and Paper issue no 7/2019, which will be available to our e-paper and print subscribers as of 13 February.
