Prices for white containerboard grades go up in France in September

Price development for white testliner, B-grade, in France in September
28 Sep 2017 −

In the wake of increases to prices for brown containerboard, prices of white grades caught up in August or in September.

The hike for white testliner grades was smoothly implemented because of sustained high demand and steady consumption, according to experts. Demand for these grades was high in August with the trend spilling over into September to all appearances, manufacturers report.

The market for white-top kraftliner grades was not as firm as for brown grades but demand was nevertheless fine. The implementation date of the hike varied from the beginning to the end of September, with all customers having to pay more from October at the latest.
