23 Jan 2018 −

Given the persisting supply shortage of sack kraft paper, manufacturers aim for further increases on the German market in the first quarter.

Market conditions that supported price increases for sack kraft paper in the fourth quarter continue to prevail on the German market at the beginning of 2018. Paper supply is still tight with manufacturers rationing supply and occasionally also pushing back delivery dates.

Therefore paper manufacturers have announced new price hikes to take effect from 1 January.

This article is an excerpt from EUWID's quarterly report on the sack kraft paper market in Germany. The EUWID Price Watch Germany Sack Kraft Paper Q4 2017 is published in EUWID Pulp and Paper issue 04.2017 on 23 January.
